basis. However, maintaining your own fleet can be costly, particularly
when vehicles are underutilized.
Many employees drive to work simply because they might need a vehicle during the day for an off-site meeting, errand, or emergency. They may prefer to take transit, walk, cycle, or carpool to work, however, without access to a vehicle these options have limitations.
This is where membership in a carsharing organization, such as Grand River CarShare and Hamilton CarShare, can save
your business, organization, or government, as well as your employees, time and money.

you need vehicles for as little as 30 minutes or as long as several
days, the Co-op's unique self-serve reservation and vehicle access system
can accomodate your staff's changing travel needs.

call 24 hours a day.

allowing you to reduce the number of under-utilized vehicles

or organization could be located on-site.

alternative: Carsharing has proven to reduce auto emissions
by over 50% per member. Carsharing is a great way to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

own cars at home knowing that they have access to CarShare vehicles whenever
needed, thereby reducing your on-site parking demand.

to our office for reserving or picking up a car.

PhillyCarShare
(a non-profit carsharing organization located in Philadelphia)
the City of Philadelphia was able to reduce its fleet by 330 cars
out of a goal of 450! PhillyCarShare
was able to accommodate the City's fleet reduction by adding only
three more cars to their own fleet, while providing the City with
access to all twenty of their CarShare vehicles.
How
to join? It's simple:
Your business or
organization can join Grand River CarShare and Hamilton CarShare as a Corporate
Member (please note that there is a non-profit rate available) .
Please read the
Membership Information Booklet which includes the Member Manual, By-laws, Privacy Policy, and Frequently Asked Questions.
Then, complete and submit the Corporate Membership Application (PDF file).
The Corporate Membership Application consists of two (2) Parts:
- Part A - to be completed by representative(s) of your business or organization; and,
- Part B - to be completed by your respective employee(s) so that they may become "Corporate Drivers" and as such utilize the CarShare vehicles. The representative(s) of your business or organization will also have to sign Part B to authorize employee(s) as Corporate Driver(s).
For your convenience Part B is available online. Part A will soon be available online as well.
